coming to you from the STORYTELLING FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM CONFERENCE-KAUAI
Michele and I have spent a incredible week on this fantasy garden island.
Road trips along the coastal highways both to the north east and Hanalei
and to the south and far western reaches by car to a BARKING SANDS island
sunset where the road ends and the Ni Paoli coast dips into the ocean the
sands end and green clad mountains begin.
Each location and stops welcomed us with new visions and incredible photo-ops.
Unacustomed to the warm sun and trade winds we toured burnt arms and parched
tounges in tow to Hanalei and pausing for a brief respite, satisfied.
On along the north coast and Queen Elizabeths Bath and a refreshing swim.
Again and again finding the foods of the island outstanding and welcome.
Reflecting on our counterparts in Wisconsin still enduring fickle spring
swings of temperture and chilly precipitation we stretched our arms and
soaked in the warmth of the days. The conference has been an invigurating
and inspirational experience. I have been impressed by the shared spirit
of the attendees and a true sense of committment to the ideals of storytelling,
communication, interactivity, hinged on a willingness to share experiences
at all levels.
